If you've been a regular visitor to Cake Fun, you know how much I love dirty, old cake recipes. This one comes to us from Phil's Mom's recipe collection.
2 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup Spry
1 cup sugar
1 egg, unbeaten
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Sift flour, baking powder, salt together 3 times. Set aside. Cream Spry, sugar. Add egg. Beat. Add flour mixture alternately with milk and vanilla in thirds. Bake in greased 8x8 pan at 350 for 50 min. or in 2 greased 8x8 pans at 375 for 25 min.
