My collection of cake molds/pans is always growing. I have nearly 200 shaped and specialty pans most of which I've never used. I don't know why I keep buying them. When will I ever need to bake a cake shaped like a clock or a shoe or a giant strawberry? "Someday" is what I tell myself but someday never comes for most of the pans in my collection. Still I can't seem to part with them. Smurfette, Rainbow Brite, and GI Joe haven't been on cakes in decades but I have the pans to make them someday. I think I might be ill stricken with some strange compulsion to buy cake pans. Here's my latest buy
